Official description

On August 7, 2026 the Department of War added a fifth batch of files through PURSUE. DVIDS enumeration confirms sixteen new videos; a corresponding war.gov news-release announcement URL has not been located in publicly indexable sources at the time of this cataloging.

Editor's context

R05 continues the multi-agency PURSUE cadence established from R01 through R04. Unlike prior tranches, we have not been able to identify a widely mirrored press-release cycle for R05, and secondary coverage (CBS News, Disclosure Foundation, GlobalSecurity) does not yet reference the tranche as of our discovery pass. The most substantive new content is the two clusters (Gulf of Oman 2021, Pacific Ocean 2019), each providing multiple sensor captures of a common mission window in a theatre with limited prior PURSUE representation.

In the margins

Transcribed redactions, stamps, and handwritten markings, the paratext of the file. Often the most human part of a declassified document, and worth reading on its own.
