AARO records ↗Official description
Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough confirmed in April 2021 that the videos were genuine Navy recordings and had been referred to the UAP Task Force. Subsequent congressional briefings included these encounters as part of the broader pattern of Navy UAP reports under investigation.
Editor's context
The pyramid shape is an artifact of triangular night-vision aperture optics, not the actual shape of the objects. With the optical artifact accounted for, the underlying objects appear as point sources of light maneuvering near naval vessels. The case is consistent with the broader pattern of unidentified slow-moving objects observed during Navy operations off the U.S. West Coast in the 2018-2020 period.
