DOE-authored site-security report of an incident in which officers at the Pantex Plant observed an unidentified object in restricted airspace over the facility. The report characterizes the object as making no audible sound and having no visible propulsion system. The Pantex Plant assembles and disassembles US nuclear weapons; the facility maintains one of the most restrictive airspace boundaries in the continental United States.

This is the second Pantex-connected file in the PURSUE catalog (Release 02 included a 1948-1950 DOE Pantex image). The 2015 incident is significant because it postdates the widely-cited historical DOE/AEC UAP concerns by decades: even in the modern era, sightings near the core US nuclear-weapons infrastructure continue to be logged and now released. Pantex airspace is monitored by DOE Office of Secure Transportation and by ambient FAA controllers.
